The optional ACS and WIC membership privileges include access to events promoted by each organisation to their members. These organisations are the local professional organisations supporting ICT professionals in industry, and work closely with InTEACT to support the ACT educational and professional community. Further information about each of these organisations can be accessed through their websites.
Note: Members who opted for ACS membership in 2016 last year will receive an automatic renewal email from the ACS directly, and do NOT have to complete the option for ACS membership renewal via InTEACT.
Completion of the online renewal/membership form will automatically generate an invoice and send it to your preferred email address. Use the links in the table above to complete your renewal, or to join as a new member of the association.
We encourage all members to approach their schools to consider Institutional Membership for the 2017 year – this provides broader coverage to include all teachers at your school, and includes a conference ticket for our annual conference to be held in August this year. Additional conference tickets will be available at the member price. We will also be forwarding membership information to all schools directly.
In addition to schools and teachers in the ACT, InTEACT works with ICTENSW to support teachers in the surrounding regions of NSW, and are pleased to have teachers from Bungendore, Braidwood, Yass, Goulburn and surrounds engaging with us.
We already have some fantastic plans, including 5 full days of PD around the Digital Technologies curriculum in addition to our TQI-accredited annual conference run in partnership with the ACS, and other events throughout the year. We’ll be making sure teachers working in all sectors have access to relevant professional learning opportunities, and have established partnerships with the Australian Computing Academy and the Computer Science Education Research (CSER) group from the University of Adelaide to ensure the opportunities we provide are of the highest quality.
We look forward to your continuing involvement with InTEACT in 2017.
