Global Cyber Day

KPMG, Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and Australian Computer Society (ACS) are hosting an annual cyber security program for Students and Teachers.
This is an opportunity for Year 10 students and teachers to attend and participate in learning sessions focused on cyber security and safety.

KPMG, Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and Australian Computer Society (ACS) are excited to host Global Cyber Day in October. The world-wide community initiative is aimed at educating students as well as the teachers in their lives about the importance of cyber security.

We know that cyber security awareness is more critical now than ever before for all, but it’s particularly so for youth who are most vulnerable.
We’re reaching out to you in hopes that your school would like to participate in the initiative. Our Global Cyber Day program includes educational presentations and content aimed at students aged 14-16 and teachers. The topics we’ll focus on this year in the sessions include cyber safety, dark web, cyber skills and opportunities, physical security and how they can affect teenagers in their everyday life. Our tailored curriculum can teach students valuable lessons on how to stay safe online and how they can champion the protection of their own personal information and online security.
More than 80,000 students across more than 300 schools in 45 countries and jurisdictions were reached in October 2018. We are hoping to expand the program into more countries and educate more students, given the tremendous success of the event last year. We currently have a number of partner firms across a number of countries that have pledged to take part in this important initiative and we’d be thrilled to have your school on board.
