Earlier this year, nearly 500 tech girls set out in 124 teams in 6 states to compete in the 2016 Search for the Next Tech Girl Superhero.
The program offers girls the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. Girls ages 10 to 18 learn to identify a problem in their community and create a mobile app solution to address that problem, and then learn how to communicate these ideas and translate them into a fully launched business.
Congratulations to winners Team Reading Republic from St Philip Neri School and Team Vocabulary Voyagers from St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School. Vocabulary Voyagers is a free literacy app targeted at primary school students to improve their literacy reading skills in a fun, digital environment.
