InTEACT will be holding a full-day workshop on 13 December for teachers interested in getting hands-on with some suggested activities for the first 2 units in each of the new IT courses:
- Data Science
- Digital Technologies
- Robotics and Mechatronics
- Networking and Security
We are yet to finalise a location for the event, but it will be held in an ACT school.
The workshop will be facilitated by teachers involved in the writing of the new courses, supported by identified teachers that are delivering engaging projects that translate well into each of the new courses.
The workshop will be free for all attendees and will include morning tea and lunch. Participants will need to bring their own laptop, and are expected to have read the relevant course document for the course they interested in learning more about.
To register your interest, visit the event registration page and provide your details. Places in each stream are restricted to ensure we can facilitate the groups effectively, so please register sooner rather than later to secure your place.
Members are encouraged to promote this event to other senior secondary teachers in the ACT – it is not restricted to members of InTEACT (but you do need to be a teacher in an ACT school teaching senior secondary classes).
