The Australian Computing Academy is bringing its Schools Cyber Security Roadshow to the ACT on Wednesday September 4 from 3pm – 5:30pm. It is being held at the Australian Cyber Security Centre at Brindabella Business Park.
The Schools Cyber Security Challenges are free for all teachers, and for all students in Years 7-12 in all Australian Schools. They explore a range of topics including:
- Information privacy and security
- Cryptography
- Network security
- Web application security
All challenges are mapped to the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies and to the ICT General Capability. They are suitable for inclusion in a range of classes from pastoral care programs through to Digital Technologies subjects.
The roadshow includes a one hour teacher professional development workshop, followed by a launch seminar featuring a panel of experts from industry.
The roadshow is free to attend. Teachers that attend the workshop will receive a sample pack of free cyber security resources.
