InTEACT is working alongside Grok Academy to provide teachers in the ACT with opportunities to contribute to the review of the Australian Curriculum.
ACARA have released a draft of the new Australian Curriculum for public consultation and we want to know your opinions and ideas!
This is an important opportunity for you to directly influence what gets taught across Australia for the next decade.
Grok Academy is running consultation sessions over May and June for Digital Technologies and the Digital Literacy capability. Whether you intend to answer ACARA’s survey independently or would like to contribute to a submission from InTEACT, Grok Academy (or perhaps all three!), we hope to see you at one or more of our sessions.
Sessions will have focus topics, and prior to each session you will be provided with some questions that we would like you to consider ahead of time. If you can’t make a session, we encourage you to email InTEACT and/or Grok Academy with your thoughts on the curriculum, or join the conversation on the Grok Academy Facebook page.
Why should you be involved?
You might think your opinion doesn’t count because:
- You’re inexperienced with DT and DL – wrong! Tell us what support you need to teach DT/DL well!
- You’re a recently graduated teacher – wrong! Tell us how to help you get started in DT/DL!
- You haven’t had time to look at it – wrong! Let us help you navigate the changes and provide feedback.
When will the sessions take place?
