The Australian National Maritime Museum is running a professional development program for teachers focusing on using digital technology in the classroom as part of the Virtual Endeavour program.
This professional development program aims to help teachers integrate digital tools offered by museums and other institutes into your classroom to enhance the learning experience. It will also give successful applicants an opportunity to experience the Australian National Maritime Museum and how it works behind the scenes.
Speakers from a range of cultural institutions and online providers will be part of the program.
This professional development program is only available to active Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) teachers and will be held on site at the Museum in Sydney.
When is it?
It will run on October 3, 4, 5 2017. There will be some optional activities on October 2 for those who arrive early.
What is available for teachers?
There are 8 fully funded places available. All accommodation, travel and expenses will be covered. There are 7 places available for teachers who want to attend and are able to pay for their own accommodation, travel and expenses.
